We are back after a brief trip to Vietnam last week. Our first post will look at several Vietnamese restaurants in Louisiana.

Bao Vietnamese Kitchen

Another review for Bao Vietnamese Kitchen.

Bao does not accomplish anything revolutionary, but the restaurant doesn’t need to. The staff’s attention to detail and care for the food help the restaurant rise to rank as not only one of the best Vietnamese spots in town but also as a standout in its south Baton Rouge neighborhood. Magasin Cafe to offer high-end Vietnamese food

According to Eater New Orleans, Magasin Vietnamese Cafe will soon offer high-end Vietnamese food to New Orleans. According to Eater New Orleans:

… [Kim] Nguyen said that her mother just returned from Vietnam and wants to be a chef. After the renovation, expect a more refined interior and “the kind of food typically served at a Vietnamese wedding banquet, like abalone and sautéed lobster.” Nguyen’s mother will “cook the dishes she made before immigrating. And the family wants diners to slow down and savor the food.” Source: Eater New Orleans.
